Super-Agers project

As part of the Super-Agers project, online content to support older people with staying active at home has been developed, these can be found on the Aging Well Bridgend website here: http://www.ageingwellbridgend.co.uk/keeping-a-healthy-body-and-mind/active-at-home/ .

People are being asked, are you ready to accept the ‘active at home challenge’?

To support people being active, video resources to join in with at home have been uploaded: a ‘Seated Exercise’ session to keep people moving and a Tai Chi session to assist with mental wellbeing.

To track activity levels, an activity tracker has been developed, which will help people to set goals, track their movement and exercise weekly whilst helping them to think about ways they can stay mentally active and stay in touch with people important to them to reduce feelings of isolation.

Although aimed at older people these activities are suitable for people of all ages.

The hope is to bring you more exercises and activities in future weeks, so people are being asked to keep an eye on the web page.
